Lyubov Slashcheva is a dentist (DDS) residing in the Midwest of the USA with her husband and two sons, where they are active members of a Mennonite congregation. She studied at Eastern Mennonite University, Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry, and the University of Iowa College of Dentistry, with various research and clinical partnerships in Latin America and India during these years. She serves as the Mennonite Healthcare Fellowship Board President (2017-2019), Center for Sustainable Climate Solutions Board of Reference Chair (2018-2020), American Academy of Developmental Medicine and Dentistry Board Secretary (2016-2020), and American Public Health Association Oral Health Section Program Chair (2017-2021). Her clinical and research interests focus on the oral health of older adults, individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities, and other vulnerable populations.
