Mennonite World Conference Assembly

and Health Summit 2022

MWC Assemblies are reunions of the Anabaptist-Mennonite family worldwide and take place every six years. We look forward to our next Assembly, which will be held in Semarang, Indonesia, 5-10 July 2022. The General Assembly will be a hybrid event, meaning workshops are held both on the ground in Indonesia and also available to participate online. Registration opens in December 2021. Participants must register through MWC for the in-person Assembly as well as for online participation.

Prior to the Assembly, GAHN will be holding a virtual Health Summit, a series of monthly online conversations, similar to what we would expect at an in-person Summit but held once a month over several months beginning in Spring 2022.  All are welcome to join in these community building events. Online registration and more details will be coming in January 2022. The goal of the Health Summit and the workshops is to allow people with similar interests working in the health field to gather, learn together and build personal and organizational resilience.

GAHN is still accepting proposals for our series of Conversations during our Health Summit.   The Health Summit is scheduled once a month from March through June.  Presentations at the Health Summit should be 30-40 minutes and allow for a discussion and question period following.  The planning committee review proposals and be in contact when you submit a proposal. Our theme for the Health Summit is Global Connections and Nurturing Adaptability.

The theme for the general Assembly is Following Jesus Together Across Barriers.  Assembly workshops are scheduled for July 6-9, Wednesday to Saturday afternoons.  GAHN will be hosting a series of workshops, including a field visit to two church medical clinics located in the vicinity of Assembly. Details forthcoming on MWC’s website.

Please submit proposals for the Health Summit virtual conversations soon.
