Mennonite World Conference Assembly
and Health Summit 2022
MWC Assemblies are reunions of the Anabaptist-Mennonite family worldwide and take place every six years. We look forward to our next Assembly, which will be held in Semarang, Indonesia, 5-10 July 2022. The General Assembly will be a hybrid event, meaning workshops are held both on the ground in Indonesia and also available to participate online. Registration is open for both online and on-site participants, although the final decision for travel to Indonesia will be made soon..
Prior to the Assembly, GAHN will be holding a virtual Health Summit, a series of monthly online conversations, similar to what we would expect at an in-person Summit but held once a month over several months beginning in March 2022. All are welcome to join in these community building events. Online registration is available for the first webinar. The goal of the Health Summit and the workshops is to allow people with similar interests working in the health field to gather, learn together and build personal and organizational resilience.
Our theme for the Health Summit is Global Connections and Nurturing Adaptability.
The theme for the general Assembly is Following Jesus Together Across Barriers. Assembly workshops are scheduled for July 6-9, Wednesday to Saturday afternoons. GAHN will be hosting a series of workshops, including a field visit to two church medical clinics located in the vicinity of Assembly. Details forthcoming on MWC’s website.
